Why do atheists get so upset it when it comes to the idea of a creator if science explicitly states there is a “supernatural” they can’t explain or even study? It’s convenient to say something doesn’t exist when it can’t be studied or explained.

Here are some possible reasons why atheists might get upset when it comes to the idea of a creator:

    • They believe that the burden of proof lies with the person making the claim. In other words, if someone claims that a creator exists, they should be able to provide evidence to support their claim. Atheists often feel that theists do not provide enough evidence to support their claims, and they become frustrated when theists continue to believe in a creator without evidence.
    • They believe that religion is harmful. Atheists often believe that religion is harmful because it can lead to violence, discrimination, and other negative consequences. They may become upset when they see people using religion to justify harmful actions.
    • They feel like they are being attacked. When theists try to convert atheists, it can feel like they are being attacked. Atheists may feel like their beliefs are being challenged, and they may become defensive.

It is important to remember that not all atheists are upset about the idea of a creator. Some atheists are indifferent to the idea, while others are even interested in learning more about it. However, the reasons listed above are some of the reasons why some atheists might get upset when it comes to the idea of a creator.

As for your statement that science explicitly states there is a “supernatural” that they can’t explain or even study, I would argue that this is not the case. Science does not explicitly state that there is a “supernatural.” In fact, science is based on the principle of empiricism, which means that it only accepts claims that are based on evidence. There is no scientific evidence to support the existence of a “supernatural,” so science does not say anything about it.

It is true that there are some things that science cannot explain or even study. However, this does not mean that these things are supernatural. It simply means that we do not yet have the knowledge or technology to understand them. As science progresses, we may one day be able to explain or even study these things. Until then, we should not jump to the conclusion that they are supernatural.
