Queryee’s Terms of Service — An Introduction 

Welcome to Queryee! We will run you through a quick summary of our Terms of Service:

  • We want to spread and increase World’s knowledge. In Queryee you have a platform where people can not only ask questions but also connect with others and offer unique, quality answers. Because of this interaction, people can share knowledge and learn from one another. All of this helps each of us to gain a better understanding of our world.
  • You retain the full ownership of the content posted by you. At the same time, by posting the content you grant other users and us certain rights and license to use the content. You can find the details pertaining to these licenses below.
  • The responsibility of the posted contest lies with you. First and foremost, this includes making sure you have all the required rights needed to post this content. Also, that your content does not violate any applicable laws or the legal rights of another person or party.
  • You are allowed to repost a small part of a post or answer posted on some other page in Queryee.  However, keep in mind that you can do so only if you attribute your content back to Queryee platform, as well as fully respect the original poster’s rights, including those that prohibit the use of automated tools.
  • We do not verify the content users post, nor do we endorse it.  Users provide materials and content to us “as is” (without any sort of guarantee). The complete responsibility of using the Queryee platform lies with you. Also, posts from doctors, lawyers, dieticians, and various other professionals should in no way be looked at as a substitute of professional advice.
  • You completely agree to follow all the rules of Queryee platform. When you use the Queryee platform, you agree to not only our Terms of Service, but also Privacy Policy, Trademark Policy, Acceptable Use Policy.
  • We provide tools for sharing feedback and reporting complaints. In case you believe a user has violated any laws, Queryee’s policies, or your intellectual property, you can easily file a report with us by contacting us. Alternately, you can initiate a report by using the in-product reporting tool that we offer.

Queryee Terms of Service

Welcome to Queryee! Queryee is a platform designed to help people share knowledge, increase their knowledge, and help people learn from each other and gain a better understanding of the world.

These terms of service (“Terms of Service”) set forth the agreement (“Agreement”) between you and Queryee. (“Queryee” “we” or “us”). It governs the way you use of our products and services.

We advise and encourage you to read the term of use. By using the Queryee Platform, you consent to Queryee’s terms of use.

  1. The Mission of the Queryee Platform

    Queryee aims to help people share and increase their knowledge. In Queryee you have a platform where people can not only ask questions but also connect with others and offer unique, quality answers. Because of this interaction, people can share knowledge and learn from one another. All of this helps each of us to gain a better understanding of our world.
  2. Using the Queryee Platform
    1. Who Can Use It. The Queryee platform is designed for users who are 13 years old or more. By using the Queryee platform, you are of adult age in the jurisdiction where you live. And in case you are a minor, you have explicit permission from your parent or guardian to use the Queryee platform. If you are a minor and are using this platform, that represents your parent or guardian consents to our Terms of Service and give their acceptance to this Agreement on your behalf. They also bear full responsibility for your using this platform. On the other hand, in case you are give your acceptance to our Terms of Service on behalf of someone else, you are confirming that you are an adult and have the authority (legally speaking) to bind the person in question to our Agreement.
    2. Registration. As part of the registration process on the Queryee Platform, we will ask you provide some information regarding yourself.  By creating your profile, you consent that the information provided by you is accurate, truthful, and correct. All information provided by you will be treated in accordance with the Queryee’s Privacy Policy.
    3. Privacy Policy. You can learn about our privacy practices by going through our Privacy Policy. By using the Queryee platform, you consent to agree to Queryee’s Privacy Policy, irrespective of the whether you have registered yourself or not.
    4. Acceptable Use Policy. In all your interactions with other users on Queryee, you agree that you will adhere to Acceptable Use Policy every time.
    5. Termination. You might terminate your account at any time via account settings. Disabling your account will close it. Kindly note that Queryee may suspend or disable your account with us if we find you have violated any Queryee policy or for some other reason.
    6. Changes to the Queryee Platform. It is our constant endeavor to enhance user experience on the Queryee platform. In this regard, we may change or add features, even if you do not notice the changes.
    7. Feedback. We encourage all users to give us suggestions and feedback as your inputs will help us make the Queryee platform even better. You can submit suggestions and feedback at any time by contacting us.
  3. Your Content
    1. Definition of Your Content. On the Queryee Platform, you can add texts, posts, videos, links, photos, and other files. All material that you upload, display or publish via the Queryee Platform will be collectively referred as “Your Content.” You agree and acknowledge that, as part of using the Queryee Platform, general public may view Your Content.
    2. Ownership. You have ownership of the copyright and other intellectual property in Your Content, subject to the non-exclusive rights granted below.
    3. License and Permission to Use Your Content.
      1. By displaying, posting, submitting Your Content on Queryee Platform, you give Queryee (as well as all companies affiliated with it a royalty free, nonexclusive, fully paid-up, worldwide, sublicensable, transferable, license to use, reproduce, copy, modify, adapt, create derivative works from, transmit, publish, distribute, store, and translate, make available to public, publish, and otherwise use Your Content in connection with your use of Queryee Platform or the marketing, advertising, promotion, of Queryee Platform, or business partners of ours, or distribution methods (including those later developed or not known), including through means of automated distribution, like via an API. You give your agreement this license includes Queryee’s rights to make Your Content to available to other individuals, organizations, business partners who collaborate with Queryee for the broadcast, syndication, communication with public, or publication of the content on Queryee. You also agree that this license includes the rights of other Queryee’s users to copy, use, modify, reproduce, create derivative works from, transmit, publish, communicate, translate, and share Your Content with Public Except when expressly mentioned in out Terms of Service, this license does not give you the right to use automated technology for posting or copying questions and answers, nor does it give you the right to use automated technology for aggregating questions and answers for making derivative works. In case you do not want your answers to be translated by other users on Queryee, you can do so by globally opting out of translation in the profile settings page. Alternately, you can set up specific answers not for translation.
      2. After you have posted an answer to a question on Queryee, you can edit your answer or delete it. However, keep in mind that answers that you post anonymously cannot be deleted or edited later through your registered profile. Keep in mind that we might not have control over removing your answer from a syndicated channel or another distributed method outside Queryee. Queryee might delete suspected spam from answers posted by you. Once a question is posted by you, it may be deleted or edited by others users of the platform or by Queryee itself at any time. Any changes and edits that you make might be visible to other users. Keep in mind that Queryee’s rights to publish, copy, display, transmit, modify, store, distribute and use any questions posted by you and sublicense those rights is irrevocable and perpetual.
      3. You agree and acknowledge that Queryee might preserve Your Content (as well as information related to it) if required by law authorities. This may happen if such disclosure and preservation is reasonably important for: (1) complying with government requests, applicable laws, or legal process; (2) enforce Queryee’s Terms of Service; (3) respond to claims stating Your Content is in violation of the rights of others; (4) prevent, detect, or address technical, security, or fraud issues; (5) protect the personal safely of Queryee users or protect their rights or those of the public.
      4. You understand and recognize that we might adapt, modify, or create derivative works from Your Content to display, distribute, or transmit, it over mobile devices, computer networks, service providers, and different media platforms. Queryee might also refuse to publish Your Content, either fully or partially.

 

  1. Your Responsibilities for Your Content. By posting Your Content on the Queryee Platform, you warrant and represent to us that: a) you enjoy all the ownership rights pertaining to the content or have obtained all permissions or licenses to use Your Content. You also give us the right to use Your Content as per the guidelines listed here, and b) that by posting it you are not violating personal or intellectual right or property of others or any applicable regulation or law, which includes any regulations or laws that require disclosure that you have received a compensation for Your Content. You understand and accept complete responsibility to avoid infringement of personal rights or intellectual property of others as well as violation of regulations and laws in connection with Your Content. You understand that it is your responsibility to ensure Your Content does not in any way violate Queryee’s Trademark Policy, Copyright Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, or any applicable regulation or law. You agree to pay all fees, royalties, and other monies owed to an individual or entity in connection with Your Content.
  2. Our Content and Materials
    1. Definition of Our Content and Materials. Keep in mind that each and every intellectual property in or related to the Queryee Platform is the property of Queryee Inc. This specifically includes the Queryee marks, the Queryee logo, but it is not limited to only these. This, however, does not exclude Your Content.
    2. Data. Whatever data Queryee collects (“Data”) related to the use of the Queryee Platform is the property of Queryee. Kindly note that Data does not extend to Your Content. It is also different from Our Materials and Content.
    3. Our License to You.
      1. You are granted a limited, personal, and non-exclusive license for using and accessing Our Materials and Content and Data as available to you on the Queryee Platform in related to your use of Queryee Platform, subject to the conditions and terms of this Agreement.
      2. Queryee gives you a royalty-free, worldwide, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-assignable license for reposting a small part of an answer or posted which other Queryee users have posted anywhere on the Internet, subject to the Terms and Conditions mentioned here, as long as (1) the original user has not clearly marked the content as not meant for reproduction on Queryee platform; (2) you have not modified the content in question; (3) you attribute Queryee by name in readable text and with a human and machine-followable link (an HTML <a> anchor tag) linking back to the page displaying the original source of the content on  Queryee.com on every page that contains such content; (4) when requested, either by a user or Queryee, you remove the user’s name from content which the user has subsequently made anonymous.
      3. We reserve the right and can terminate our license to you for any reason and at any time. We have the full right to refuse distribution of any content on Queryee Platform or to delete content. Except for the rights and license granted in these Terms of Service, we reserve all other rights and grant no other rights or licenses, implied or otherwise.
    4. Permitted uses. In case you run a web crawler, a search engine, scrapping tool, bot, bulk downloading tool, wget utility, data mining tool, or any other extraction or data gathering tool, you might access Queryee, subject to these extra rules: 1)  your user agent header must be descriptive; 2) at all times you must follow robots.txt; 3) your access must in no manner negatively affect any aspect of Queryee; and 4) you must make it explicit how you can be contacted, either in your website (in case you have a website) or in the user agent string. You warrant and represent that you are not using any sort of automated tools like machine learning or artificial learning (a) for creating derivative works of Our Content and Materials; (b) for creating any service that will be in direct competition with Queryee; (c) for any commercial purposes except those expressly allowed by these Terms of Service.
    5. No Endorsement or Verification. We want to bring to your notice that the Queryee Platform contains access to different third-party content, services, and products. The Queryee Platform also offers interactions with various third-parties. Availability or participation of such content on the Queryee Platform however does not mean that Queryee has verified these content, services, or products, nor does it mean that Queryee endorses them. We want to make it explicit that we make no representations or warranties regarding the timeliness, completeness, or accuracy of any content that someone posts on the Queryee Platform.
    6. Ownership. You agree and acknowledge that Our Materials and Content remain the property of Queryee or Queryee’s users. The services, information, content that is made available on Queryee are protected by global trademark, copyright, and other laws. You understand and acknowledge that these rights are enforceable and valid.
  1. Integrated Service Provider. You might enable some other online service provider, like a social networking service, to be integrated directly into your account on Queryee. By your act of enabling an integrated service, you are allowing us to receive from and pass to the integrated service provider your log-in info and other user-related data. Kindly check our Privacy Policy to get more information about Queryee’s storage, disclosure, and use of information related to you and your use of integrated service within Queryee. When you use an integrated service provider, your use of it and provider’s handling of your information and data is based completely on their privacy policy, terms of use, and other policies.
  2. More About Certain Offerings on the Queryee Platform
    1. Digests. When you sign up for the Queryee Platform, the service includes receipt of digests of content that might be of interest to you. If you want, you can opt out of it and tweak other various communication settings. You can do so via Email and Notification settings in the account profile of yours.
    2. Advertisements. The Queryee Platform might include advertisements. It is possible that these advertisements might be targeted to information or content on the Queryee platform, or queries raised by you on Queryee or other information so that they are relevant to you. The extent and types of advertising by Queryee can change. As part of Queryee’s grant of access to the platform and letting you use it, you acknowledge that Queryee and third-party partners and providers might place such ads on the Queryee platform.  In case you want to become an advertiser, you need to enter into supplemental and separate terms with Queryee related to advertising services.
    3. Spaces. This feature allows users to curate content and form communities around shared tastes and interests.
    4. Subscriptions. Some content on the Queryee Platform (like content in Spaces) might be available only through subscription, which will subject to supplemental conditions and terms.
    5. Legal, Medical & Other Professional Contributors. On Queryee Platform members of licensed professions, such as legal and medical (collectively termed as “Professional Contributors”) also post content. Users are hereby informed and advised that content posted by licensed professionals is not a substitute of professional advice that may apply to your unique situation. Queryee provides certain disclaimer template language which members of licensed professions (aka Professional Contributors) might incorporate and edit in their posts. Kindly note that ethics rules vary by location or state.  Professional Contributors have the sole and full responsibility of determining and providing disclaimers that are right for the content provided by them and their profession.
    6. Buttons, Links and Widgets. You have permission to use Queryee’s links, widgets, and buttons, subject to these Terms of Service and provided that: (1) your use of such links, widget links, and buttons is limited to the Queryee Platform; (2) you are not going to modify these widgets, links, buttons, or their associated code; (3) you are not going to use these links, widgets, or buttons in a manner that suggests or implies that Queryee sponsors, recommends, or endorses the online platform on which these widgets, links, and buttons are used; and (4) the use of these widgets, links, buttons, and the online platform on which these links, widgets, and buttons are used in no manner violates the Queryee’s Acceptable Use Policy.
    7. Web resources and third-party services. The Queryee Platform might also give you a chance to engage with various third-party services or products or visit links to other websites. If you visit or use such resources or websites via the Queryee Platform, you agree you assume complete risk resulting from your use.
    8. Services that Require Separate Agreement. Some services and features might require your entering into a supplemental and separate agreement before using them.
  1. Reporting Violations of Your Intellectual Property Rights, Queryee Policies, or Applicable Laws. Our platform has put in place a special process to help you report violations concerning your intellectual property rights or any other violation of Queryee applicable laws or policies.
    1. Copyright Policy and Trademark Policy. The Queryee Platform adopts and implements a Trademark Policy and Copyright Policy. If you want more information regarding submitting a request to remove content if you think it violates your intellectual property, kindly go through our Trademark and Copyright Policy.
    2. Reports of Other Violations. In case you think content on Queryee violates its Acceptable Use Policy, you can contact us and we will look into the matter.The Queryee Platform is under no obligation whatsoever to remove content you personally might find offensive or objectionable. We do our best to give a prompt response to all requests submitted to us for content removal, in line with applicable laws and our policies.
  1. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

    PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY SINCE IT LIMITS THE LIABILITY OF QUERYEE ENTITIES TO YOU.

    “QUERYEE ENTITIES” MEANS QUERYEE, AND ANY SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, RELATED COMPANIES, SUPPLIERS, LICENSORS AND PARTNERS, AND THE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS AND REPRESENTATIVES OF EACH OF THEM. EACH PROVISION BELOW APPLIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
    1. WE ARE PROVIDING YOU THE QUERYEE PLATFORM, ALONG WITH OUR CONTENT AND MATERIALS AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT WITH OTHERS, ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, QUERYEE ENTITIES EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, TITLE, ACCURACY AND COMPLETENESS, UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE SERVICE, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING OR TRADE USAGE.
    2. QUERYEE MAKES NO PROMISES WITH RESPECT TO, AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY FOR: (i) CONTENT POSTED BY ANY USER OR THIRD PARTY; (ii) ANY THIRD-PARTY WEBSITE, THIRD-PARTY PRODUCT, OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICE LISTED ON OR ACCESSIBLE TO YOU THROUGH THE QUERYEE PLATFORM, INCLUDING AN INTEGRATED SERVICE PROVIDER OR PROFESSIONAL CONTRIBUTOR; (iii) THE QUALITY OR CONDUCT OF ANY THIRD PARTY YOU ENCOUNTER IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE QUERYEE PLATFORM; OR (iv) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT. QUERYEE MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT: (a) THE QUERYEE PLATFORM WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; (b) THE QUERYEE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (c) THE RESULTS OR INFORMATION THAT YOU MAY OBTAIN FROM THE USE OF THE QUERYEE PLATFORM, A PROFESSIONAL CONTRIBUTOR, OR ANY OTHER USER WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE; OR (d) THE QUALITY OF ANY PRODUCTS, SERVICES, INFORMATION, OR OTHER MATERIAL OBTAINED OR PURCHASED BY YOU THROUGH THE QUERYEE PLATFORM WILL BE SATISFACTORY.
    3. YOU AGREE THAT TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUERYEE ENTITIES WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, YOU AGREE THAT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUERYEE ENTITIES SPECIFICALLY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, REPUTATIONAL HARM, OR LOSS OF DATA (EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR SUCH DAMAGES ARE FORESEEABLE) ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE QUERYEE PLATFORM.
    4. YOUR SOLE REMEDY FOR DISSATISFACTION WITH THE QUERYEE PLATFORM IS TO STOP USING THE QUERYEE PLATFORM.
  1. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify, defend, and release Queryee from all kinds of third-party claims and costs (this includes reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Queryee Platform, b) Your Content, c) your interactions with other Queryee users or conduct on the platform, or iv) your breach of any part of Queryee’s Agreement. In case of such a claim, we will speedily notify you and, if you want, will offer you reasonable assistance (cost of it will borne by you) to help you defend the claim. You agree to our participation in the defense and promise to not settle any claim of this kind without receiving a written consent from us to do so. You acknowledge and agree that we reserve the full rights (at our own expense) to assume exclusive defense of any kind of matter that might otherwise become a subject of indemnification by you. In such a scenario, you would absolutely have no kind of further obligation to defend us on that issue.
  2. Dispute Resolution

    This Agreement and any action arising out of your use of the Queryee Platform will be governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to or application of its conflict of law provisions or your state or country of residence. All claims, legal proceedings or litigation arising in connection with your use of the Queryee Platform will be brought solely in Contra Costa County, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of and venue in such courts and waive any objection as to inconvenient forum.GeneralTerms
    1. Changes to these Terms of Service. You acknowledge and understand we might amend this Agreement (which includes any policies like Acceptable Use Policy, Trademark Policy, and Privacy Policy, Copyright Policy that are part of this Agreement) at any given point time, at our complete discretion. In case we make changes to material terms incorporated in this Agreement, the changes would become effective immediately after we issue you notice of amended agreement. This kind of notice would be at our sole and complete discretion and the form of notification can include, for instance, via email, a posted notice on the Queryee Platform, or some other form. If you fail to cancel the account of yours or stop using the Queryee Platform, after you have received the amendment notification, that would mean you have accepted the amended terms. In case you are not in agreement with one or more terms of this Agreement, the only option available to you is to delete your account with us or stop using the Queryee Platform.
    2. Governing Law and Jurisdiction. You acknowledge, agree, and accept Queryee is operated in the United States. You also agree that Queryee will be deemed to be solely based in California and a passive service for purposes of jurisdictional analysis. For any claims for which arbitration is inapplicable, you agree that such claims will be brought in federal or state court in Costa County, California and governed by laws of the state of California and federal law, without regard to any conflict of law provisions.
    3. Use Outside of the United States. Queryee expressly and explicitly disclaims all representations or warranties that the Queryee Platform complies with each and every applicable regulations and laws outside of the United States. In case you are using the Queryee Platform outside of the US, you understand, acknowledge, and agree you are solely responsible for determining any kind of compliance with various regulations, laws, or customs which might apply related to your use of Queryee Platform.
    4. Export. The Queryee Platform is operated and controlled from our United States offices in California. Queryee software, without exception, is subject to US export controls. No software for Queryee might be downloaded, exported, or re-exported in violation of applicable regulations or laws. By using Queryee, you explicitly represent you are not (a) situated in a country subject to US government embargo, or are located in a country that US has designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and (b) situated in a country that appears on any US list of restricted or prohibited parties.
    5. Applications and Mobile Devices. In case you are accessing Queryee via a Queryee application, you understand and agree that this Agreement is solely between you and Queryee. No other application platform provider or application service provider is party to it.
    6. Electronic Communications. You give your consent for receiving communications from us via email in line with this Agreement and applicable law.
    7. Relationship. You acknowledge and agree and accept This Agreement doesn’t create a partnership, joint venture, or any other type of joint enterprise between you and us.
