Disclaimer: I will now share my personal selection of 10 movies that I consider the best of all time, as well as my personal favorites.
“If you are good at something, never do it for free.”
Does this movie really need an introduction? It is not only the best superhero movie ever made but also my favorite movie of all time. Heath Ledger, you are the true hero of this film. You set the standard for actors worldwide, and no one can ever replace you as the Joker. Period. Words cannot describe the brilliance of this movie, so enough said.
“A hero can be anyone. Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a little boy’s shoulders to let him know that the world hadn’t ended.”
Wow, what a conclusion to the best movie trilogy I have ever encountered. I have watched the last 10 minutes of this film more than 20 times, and each time I get goosebumps. It’s truly challenging to match the benchmark set by ‘The Dark Knight,’ but this movie completely justifies the entire trilogy and surpasses my expectations.
“Mankind was born on Earth. It was never meant to die here.”
I have never seen such a thrilling, thought-provoking, and visually stunning film like Interstellar. The performances, the plot, and Hans Zimmer’s score exceeded my imagination. My only regret is not being able to witness it in theaters.
“Dreams feel real while we’re in them. It’s only when we wake up that we realize something was actually strange.”
In my opinion, Christopher Nolan is the greatest director on this planet. How dare he even attempt to make a movie like this? I don’t believe such a movie can ever be made again. A dream within a dream within a dream. If you want to challenge your mind, watch Inception. It is a sci-fi masterpiece like no other.
“Death smiles at us all. All we can do is smile back.”
This is the finest historical epic movie I have ever watched. It is a masterpiece in every sense: flawless storytelling, flawless acting, outstanding score, and direction. This movie changed my perspective on life. After watching it, I felt the need to achieve and become what truly defines a person.
“Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.”
This film teaches us life’s greatest lessons about friendships, hardships, and hope. Ranked number one on IMDb, there is nothing more to say about this movie that hasn’t already been said. It is a timeless masterpiece.
“You got a dream. You gotta protect it. People can’t do something themselves, they wanna tell you you can’t do it. If you want something, go get it. Period.”
This was the first movie that made me emotional like a baby. I still can’t believe that Will Smith didn’t win an Academy Award for this film. I feel incredibly blessed to have seen it. It made me cry, it made me laugh, and it made me love life.
“A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti.”
This movie is the reason I fell in love with the thriller genre. Despite watching countless thrillers afterward, none have matched its intensity and brilliance. It remains the best in its genre. Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter – hats off, sir.
“This is your life, and it’s ending one moment at a time.”
I have
always been a fan of David Fincher’s movies. Se7en, World War Z, Gone Girl, Zodiac, and more – they are all masterpieces. But I had to choose one, and Fight Club is incredibly special. It deserves a place on everyone’s list. You need to watch it at least 2-3 times to understand its true meaning. Fight Club provides a genuine perspective on the world we live in.
“When 400,000 men couldn’t get home, home came for them.”
I have seen some excellent war movies in recent times, but Dunkirk stands at the top. It is the best war movie I have watched. I was fortunate to witness it in theaters, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The movie is visually authentic, profoundly moving, and words cannot fully capture its essence.
Honorable Mentions:
Memento
Forrest Gump
The Godfather
The Prestige
Schindler’s List
That’s all for now. Thank you.
