    The immense amount of matter existing in one point when the universe was formed (calculated at 14 billion years ago) doesn’t make sense. Given this, are scientists settled that what happens otherwise in the universe does make sense?

    If the red shift shows that the universe is expanding, shouldn't there be direction to look where there is no red shift? If there is expansion in all directions, would that mean that the earth is the center of the universe?
