Climate change is only a theory, just like evolutionism and gravity. Why do atheists still treat it as fact?

It is important to clarify some misunderstandings in your statement. Evolution and gravity are scientific theories that are widely accepted by the scientific community based on extensive evidence and rigorous scientific investigation. These theories are supported by a wealth of empirical data and have withstood scrutiny and testing over time.

The theory of evolution explains the diversity and development of life on Earth, and it is supported by abundant evidence from multiple scientific disciplines, including paleontology, genetics, and comparative anatomy.

Gravity, on the other hand, is a fundamental force that explains the attraction between objects with mass. It has been extensively studied and its effects are observable and measurable in various contexts, from the motion of celestial bodies to the behavior of objects on Earth.

Climate change, too, is supported by a vast body of scientific evidence. The consensus among the scientific community is that climate change is primarily driven by human activities, particularly the emission of greenhouse gases from burning fossil fuels. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), an international body of scientists, has compiled and assessed extensive data on climate change, its causes, and its potential impacts.

While the basic principles of climate change are supported by scientific consensus, ongoing research continues to refine our understanding of its specific mechanisms, impacts, and potential mitigation strategies. The scientific community engages in continuous investigation, data collection, and peer review to improve our knowledge and address remaining uncertainties.

It is important to note that atheism, which is the lack of belief in gods or deities, is not inherently tied to any specific position on scientific theories or climate change. Individuals who identify as atheists can have diverse perspectives on scientific issues, just as individuals of any other belief system can. The acceptance of scientific theories, including climate change, is based on the weight of evidence and the scientific consensus within the relevant fields of study.
