A Good Director knows the difference between Sequel and Overkill
Baahubali was pretty much completely closed in the first two parts.
Everyone achieved full closure.
Baahubali and Avanthika , Anushka now resigned to Old Queen, Katappa as the Loyal Retainer – everything wrapped up well
You want Rajamouli to make the mistake of continuously milking the Cash cow?
LIke the Terminator Franchise
Terminator 1 and 2 were perfect. They closed the entire arc beautifully.
However Profit and Money meant that the Studios pitched Terminator 3
The Original Legendary Director – James Cameron sold the entire rights of Sequel of Terminator 2 for ONE DOLLAR!!!!!!
He believed there would come a time when the studios would do Terminator 3 and it would be redundant and bad.
And it was……
The Franchise has been destroyed to atoms now.
Jurassic Park was the same. Its Sequels were cash cows and nothing else. Jurassic World was good but again its sequels were Cash cows and nothing else.
Pirates of the Carribean 1–3 was planned. 4 and 5 were cash cows. Jaws likewise. Superman (1976) was a Goldmine but Parts III and IV were disastrous cash cows.
The entire Fantastic Beasts series is a cash cow based entirely on Harry Potters 8 Movie Success
Star Wars VII-IX were pure cash cows with zero relevance to the story and except Rogue – not one sequel got a pass with the critics
However in all these cash cows – The Original Director almost certainly never directs too many sequels
So my guess is Baahubali III even if released would not be a Rajamouli Direction
A Prequel is more likely about Sivagami and Kattappa but in the last 10 years only a handful of Prequels have minted gold – Monsters University, Hobbit, Rogue 1, Rise of Planet of the Apes etc.
So my guess is Rajamoulis next film is MAHABHARATA
