Contrary to the previous responses, it should be noted that there are instances in the wild where big cats, such as lions, exhibit behaviors that involve consuming prey while it is still alive, albeit often in a state of shock. This behavior has been observed on occasions during the Wild Earth TV’s Safari Live broadcasts. For example, there were incidents where lions hunted and began consuming a zebra, targeting its reproductive organs and intestines while the zebra was still alive and struggling. The process took approximately half an hour before the zebra eventually succumbed to its injuries. These observations highlight the brutal and harsh realities of nature at times.
