Talking about Versatility, Sonu Nigam is one of the most versatile singer of all time and the most Versatile Male singer currently.

As you have taken Arijit’s name, in my opinion Arijit is one of those Technical singers, who rely more on the way of singing. He has a good voice but there are better voices than Arijit in India. He is versatile.

Comparing Sonu’s versatility, there are some singers in the current lot like – KK, Mohit. Both have sung many high range pop to soft romantics, sad songs. But I haven’t heard classical or semi-classical from them.

The only 2 singers I can think of equating with Sonu Nigam in terms of Versatility are – Legendary Kishore Kumar and Sunidhi Chauhan.

These 2 besides Sonu are insanely versatile and can sing any kind of song. Kishore da has sung songs like Yeh Jawaani (Happy, Energetic), Chingari koi Bhadke (Sad), Ek ajnabee (Romantic), Ek Chatur Naar (classical). Sunidhi on the other hand has sung Dhoom Machale, Aa khushi se Khudkhushi (Rock), Bhaage Re Mann, Hey Shona (Soft romantic), Kaesi Paheli Zindgani (Only Jazz with 100% justice in bollywood, I think), Mere Haath me (Sad), Morni Baagha ma bole (Classical Live), Here is Beautiful (Western, English).

So, these 3 are in my opinion, the most versatile singers that I’ve heard.
