I dont think Rajamouli has the slighest intention of promoting Soft Hindutva. Rajamoulis every single scene is all about Entertainment!!!

When you write a Script about Ancient India , say 1000 Years or so ago at a time when Damascus Steel was the latest in thing (as per Sudeeps Dialogue) – Its evident that say in 1022 or so – India was obviously as Hindu as possible.

Cant exactly have Muslims or Christians in 1022 AD India correct ? Hence the Shivalinga and what you call Soft Hinduism

Almost like if Rajamouli makes Mahabharata – you would say its Soft Hinduism

And you want more proof of Rajamoulis Secularism – Just see Sher Khan of Magadheera (Also directed by Rajamouli)
