No, often better have a average singer with a stage presance and who knows how to get the audience partying, i’ve seen very good bands that were boring to look at, a singer that was nailed to one spot on stage with sunglasses on is no fun, and when the rest of the band is also nailed to the floor it gets boring quit fast.

A average singer who gives all and shows the band has fun and want to party is way better to get things going.

I’ve been roadie for years for a band of friends of mine our singer was in the beginning not that good it improved enourmously when whe finally convinced him not to play guitar on stage untill he was better at both, he was always all over the stage, we even lost him once, the stage gave in under him while bouncing up and down singing at a gig on a Harley meeting, he continued singing while he emerged from under the stage, this was a moment that stuck with the audience, the band got a rep as a party band due to this fact and a lot of gigs, the band discontinued years ago but his singing was improved over the years in a way he now makes his living singing, still not the best singer in the world but true a stage animal.
