Einstein falsely claimed gravity can bend and deform space. However, this is not true, because space is not a physical thing, but a mathematical construct, meaning there is nothing to be bend/deformed, which is why warp drives are impossible, right?

Albert Einstein did not falsely claim that gravity can bend and deform space. In fact, his theory of general relativity is based on the idea that gravity is not a force, but rather a curvature of spacetime. Spacetime is a four-dimensional continuum that includes three spatial dimensions and one temporal dimension. According to general relativity, the presence of mass and energy curves spacetime, and this curvature is what we experience as gravity.

The idea that space is not a physical thing, but rather a mathematical construct, is a common misconception. While it is true that space is not a physical object in the same way that a chair or a table is, it is still a real thing. Spacetime is the fabric of the universe, and it is what allows objects to exist and move.

Warp drives are a theoretical concept that has not yet been proven to be possible. However, if warp drives were possible, they would work by creating a bubble of spacetime around a spaceship and then expanding that bubble. This would create a region of spacetime where the laws of physics are different, and this would allow the spaceship to travel faster than the speed of light.

While warp drives are a fascinating concept, they are still very much in the realm of science fiction. There is no scientific evidence to suggest that they are actually possible.
