Well I wouldn’t say that these are bad films. I actually enjoyed watching these movies on big screen. These movies deserve the love and praise for their hard work. But every film has their flaws.
[English: Everyone in this world is wrong but the one who’s the least wrong, is the right one]
RRR & Bahubali franchise
~ I admire the vision of SS Rajamouli to create these epic movies on large scales. People criticized that action was illogical and over the top. First of all audience must understand the genre of film.
So it is a ‘fantasy movie’ director has the story in his hand. I’ve never seen someone complaining about Spider-Man movies. The point is how can a man become a Spider-Man and shoots web from his hands and swings in NYC just because a radioactive spider bite him? Nobody questions about the logic behind it because it is also a fiction movie man !
So if Hollywood does a fiction/fantasy movie they can do whatever they want and nobody questions them and if an Indian guy presents his fiction/fantasy movie to the world people criticize him. Songs blend in Indian movies is important for mass audiences but I don’t like songs but these things separate us from Hollywood. We must compete with them not become like them.
KGF Franchise
~ Prashant Neil revived the anti-hero and Angry Young man genre which was in 70’s Bollywood (mostly Amitabh Bachchan movies). So it is a movie about an anti-hero who does illegal trades in country to complete his promise which his mother gave while dying. Problem is many youth has made ‘Rocky Bhai’ an idol.
Enjoy the movie man, try to take good qualities of character.
I love this movie for it’s story telling, world building, cinematography and bond between son and mother not for it’s action or dialogue. Love story really sucks in this movie, never felt the loss when Reena died nor enjoyed their chemistry. Coming to dialogues it is cringe in some parts because Rocky has not studied much, he don’t know much about proper choice of words and languages. It is set in eras of 70–80’s. Amitabh’s dialogue was also of similar kind in his movies like
So movie has flaws it is overrated a bit too honestly but it doesn’t mean that it is a bad movie. Background music is great but in chapter 2 it was overused hope this doesn’t repeat in upcoming movies. Movie deserves praise because it does not look like 100cr budget movie.
If you watch Rocky’s story as a hero there are many problems but if you see it as an anti-hero you will love this movie more.
