Could be plenty of reasons.

They don’t like his music.

They don’t know who he is.

He quit 3 years ago.

They aren’t ‘super’ fans.

Honestly, without this question I wouldn’t have a clue who he was and honestly I still don’t. Looks like the guy was mainly active before 2000 and he has kept a mild presence in the music industry until he fully quick (Bar writing) in 2019. Also throw in the 9 years he took off to raise his child. Since one of his more recent albums was voted “Best under the radar”, sounds like he doesn’t have such a huge following to be a huge name for the masses to talk about. Nothing against the guy or music, but being tagged “Under the Radar” sorta tells me he has a dedicated niche of fans which aren’t that wide spread
