In the Baroque period, fashion in Germany became more opulent and extravagant. Men wore knee-length coats with wide, cuffed sleeves, and women donned elaborate gowns with tight bodices, large puffed sleeves, and wide skirts. Rich fabrics, such as silk and velvet, were commonly used.
