Fashion designers draw inspiration from a variety of sources. Some designers are influenced by current trends and popular culture, while others draw inspiration from nature, art, or their own personal experiences. Many designers also take inspiration from historical fashion, incorporating elements of past styles into their modern designs.
Once a designer has a general concept in mind, they will typically sketch out their ideas and create a mood board. A mood board is a visual collage of images and ideas that helps to capture the designer’s vision and set the tone for the collection. From there, the designer will begin to experiment with fabrics and materials, and create prototypes of their designs.
Throughout the design process, a fashion designer may make adjustments and tweaks to their designs based on feedback from others or their own personal preferences. Ultimately, the goal is to create a cohesive collection that showcases the designer’s unique style and vision.
