The framework of Important vs. Urgent can be a valuable tool for time management.
Ideally, one should prioritize Important-Not Urgent work such as planning and strategizing, and minimize time spent on Important-Urgent tasks like addressing customer complaints or dealing with technical issues.
Urgent-Not Important tasks, such as responding to emails or scheduling appointments, can often be delegated to others.
Finally, tasks that are Not Important-Not Urgent should be minimized or eliminated altogether. To achieve this, it is important to stay on top of tasks and find solutions to prevent similar tasks from arising repeatedly.
