In the past twenty years, there have been notable shifts in migratory patterns. The number of international migrants has shown strong growth, with approximately 281 million individuals residing outside their country of origin by 2019. During this period, changes in origin and destination countries, as well as the motivations for migration, have been influenced by various factors such as economic pressures, evolving age demographics, and conflicts. Notably, the past two decades have witnessed significant immigration transformations driven by factors like war, famine, economic fluctuations, religious persecution, and government interventions.
