Student of the Year 2 struggles to keep up in the race at the box office. The Dharma Production movie stars Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday in the lead. While it opened with a decent box office collection during its opening weekend, the Puneet Malhotra directorial couldn’t sustain its run through the second week. With Ajay Devgn’s De De Pyaar De releasing over the weekend, the collections of SOTY 2 have been affected further. As per Box Office India, Student of the Year 2’s Day 11 collection doesn’t pose a happy picture.
The website reveals that the movie earned another Rs 1.15 crore nett on its Day 11 at the box office. This brings Student of the Year 2’s total box office collection to Rs 61.18 crore. The movie saw a huge drop on its second weekend at the box office. SOTY 2 earned Rs 1.50 crore, Rs 2 crore and Rs 2.50 crore in its second weekend. The movie posed a second-weekend collection of Rs 6 crore.
It is safe to assume that the Student of the Year 2’s second-weekend collection was impacted by the release of De De Pyaar De.
