You cannot contain gravity. Gravity is a fundamental force of nature that acts between any two objects with mass. It is not possible to contain gravity in a way that would allow us to measure it directly. However, we can measure the effects of gravity by observing how objects move in its presence.

One way to measure gravity is to use a pendulum. A pendulum is a weight suspended from a string. When a pendulum is released, it swings back and forth in a regular motion. The period of a pendulum, which is the time it takes to complete one swing, is determined by the length of the string and the force of gravity.

Another way to measure gravity is to use a spring scale. A spring scale is a device that measures the force of an object’s weight. When an object is placed on a spring scale, the spring compresses. The amount of compression is proportional to the force of the object’s weight.

By measuring the period of a pendulum or the force of an object’s weight, we can indirectly measure the strength of gravity.

Here are some of the instruments that are used to measure gravity:

    • Gravimeters: Gravimeters are instruments that measure the acceleration due to gravity. They are used to map the Earth’s gravity field and to study the effects of gravity on other planets and objects in space.

By measuring gravity, scientists can learn more about the universe and how it works. Gravity is a fundamental force of nature, and it plays a role in many different phenomena, such as the formation of stars and planets, the evolution of galaxies, and the expansion of the universe. By understanding gravity, scientists can better understand the universe and its origins.
