In particular, the illegal trade of eagle feathers commands substantial sums on the black market. An alarming incident took place in Oklahoma, where law enforcement apprehended a poacher who had over two dozen deceased eagles stowed away in the trunk of his car.

However, there’s one case that truly leaves us perplexed. It involves a father who intentionally shot and killed a mature bald eagle so that his son could have a close encounter with this majestic bird. The father’s reasoning stemmed from the fact that bald eagles were endangered, and he feared his son might never have the opportunity to witness one otherwise.
