No proper competition and versatility.

Arijit Singh is very talented but his songs are more or less the same, thanks to composers like Pritam who steal music (so called inspiration) and uses Arijit to sing the so called blockbuster songs of big budget films. As Arijit Singh became known especially after Aashiqui 2 , every major film composer wants him to sing in their movies and this is similar to how Kumar Sanu came, then replaced almost by Udit Narayan, then almost replaced by Sonu Nigam who is replaced by Arijit Singh now. People are not yet fed up with Arijit due to his versatile sound, but after few years if another singer of good caliber comes with good opportunities, he may replace Arijit fully.

He took some risk moving to Mumbai, opening his own studio and composing music before moving to more fame as a singer (after Fame Gurukul days) and this risk paid off when he was noted by many filmmakers. He has also assisted many music directors like Pritam as a music programmer and music producer which opened more opportunities for him. His voice matches Ranbir Kapoor and many of his hits include singing for him and he is the new youth sensational singer (till replaced by the next big singer)

His contemporaries like Benny Dayal concentrates on fast numbers/ people use him for that only, Pakistani singers no longer sing for Bollywood due to national issues giving Arijit more opportunities (Atif Aslam and Rahet Fateh Ali Khan has almost no songs here and they used to sing soulful songs like Arijit). Armaan Malik concentrates more in Telugu films now (more like voice of Allu Arjun).

Arijit’s down to earth nature also helped him to be established where many singers show arrogance and act as a celebrity in public.
