    In one minute, you can learn a simple but powerful breathing technique called “diaphragmatic breathing” or “belly breathing.” This technique can be useful throughout your life in various situations to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and increase focus. Here’s how you can do it:

     

    1. Find a comfortable seated position or lie down.
    2. Place one hand on your chest and the other on your abdomen, just below your ribcage.
    3. Take a slow, deep breath in through your nose, allowing your abdomen to rise while keeping your chest relatively still.
    4. Exhale slowly through your mouth, letting your abdomen fall inward.
    5. Repeat this process, focusing on the rise and fall of your abdomen with each breath.

     

    Practicing diaphragmatic breathing for just one minute can help you quickly shift from a state of stress or anxiety to a calmer state. It can be particularly helpful during moments of high-pressure situations, when you need to think clearly or when you want to relax before sleep. Remember, the more you practice this technique, the more natural and beneficial it becomes.
