The clothing worn by Thai people varies depending on the occasion, location, and personal preferences. However, traditional Thai clothing includes the “Pha Sin” for women and the “Pha Khao Ma” for men.
The Pha Sin is a long tube skirt made of silk or cotton that is wrapped around the waist and extends to the ankles. Women often pair it with a “Chong Kraben” or a short-sleeved blouse.
The Pha Khao Ma is a wrap-around skirt for men that also extends to the ankles. Men typically wear it with a “Chong Kraben” and a “Sabai,” which is a decorative scarf worn around the neck.
