I think by the standards of 2007, Jab We Met was really a good movie that tried to come up with a beautiful love story between Geet and Adi. Imtiaz Ali’s two characters became a part of pop culture. Jab We Met came across as a film that changed the way people pursued love in the real sense. Ali relentlessly made films on similar lines since then but couldn’t achieve that standard. I think, in the coming years it’s important for cinema studies to include Imtiaz Ali’s films to analyze how can someone deliver a fantastic film that is a perfect blend of substance and entertainment.
