What makes bears more powerful than humans when you compare their size to ours? What other animals surpass us in this way? Why aren't we afraid of them like we seem to be with lions, tigers, etc.?

Quora often presents us with incredulous questions, and one of them revolves around the astonishing nature of polar bears.
Polar bears, fearless towards humans, can reach a weight of up to 1500 pounds and stand as tall as 11 feet when on their hind legs. Their dominance extends to the Arctic Tundra, where they exhibit a relentless disposition, attacking anything that crosses their path. Confronting a polar bear or even a grizzly bear face-to-face would undoubtedly instill fear in me.
It is worth noting that polar bears outweigh the average tiger or lion by 2.5 to 3 times, making them even more formidable. While lions may not pursue if not hungry, and climbing a tree might offer some respite from tigers, facing a polar bear remains the least desirable scenario.
