Here are the steps you can take after 12th to become an IAS officer:

    1. Choose the right undergraduate course. After completing 12th grade, you can choose any undergraduate course of your choice, but it is recommended to choose a course that aligns with the UPSC syllabus. Some of the popular courses that are considered good for IAS preparation include history, political science, economics, sociology, and geography. 2. Complete your undergraduate degree. You must complete your undergraduate degree from a recognized university. This will give you the basic foundation in the subjects that are important for the UPSC exam. 3. Start preparing for the UPSC exam. The UPSC exam is one of the toughest exams in the country, so it is important to start preparing early. There are many online and offline resources available to help you with your preparation. 4. Choose optional subject wisely. There are two optional subjects in the UPSC exam. You can choose any of the subjects that you are interested in. However, it is important to choose a subject that you are good at and that you can score well in. 5. Apply for the UPSC exam. The UPSC exam is conducted every year. You can apply for the exam online. 6. Clear the UPSC exam. The UPSC exam is a three-stage exam. The first stage is the Preliminary exam, the second stage is the Main exam, and the third stage is the Interview. You need to clear all three stages of the exam to become an IAS officer.

Becoming an IAS officer is a challenging but rewarding career. If you are passionate about public service and have the determination to succeed, then you should definitely consider pursuing this career.

Here are some additional tips for becoming an IAS officer:

    • Join a coaching institute or take online courses to help you with your preparation.
    • Read newspapers and magazines regularly to stay updated on current affairs.
    • Join a debate club or other extracurricular activities to improve your communication and public speaking skills.
    • Develop a strong work ethic and be willing to put in the hard work required to succeed.
    • Believe in yourself and never give up on your dreams.
