Kedarnath is a holy town located in the Himalayan mountain range in India, which is known for its cold climate and high altitude. If you’re planning to visit Kedarnath, it is important to dress appropriately to ensure your safety and comfort.
During the summer months (May to June), the temperature in Kedarnath ranges from 5 to 18 degrees Celsius during the day and can drop to 0 degrees Celsius or below at night. Therefore, it is recommended that you wear warm clothes such as thermal wear, a warm jacket, a hat, gloves, and comfortable shoes or boots. It is also advisable to carry a raincoat or an umbrella as there is a possibility of occasional rainfall.
If you are planning to visit Kedarnath during the winter months (November to February), you will need to wear extremely warm clothing, including heavy jackets, thermal wear, gloves, hats, and insulated boots to protect yourself from the extreme cold.
It is also recommended that you dress modestly when visiting Kedarnath as it is a holy place. Avoid wearing revealing clothes or shorts and opt for traditional Indian attire such as a salwar kameez or kurta pajama.
