Ok, even I don’t love his voice. Its not beautiful by conventional standards. But man, some of the lyrics he wrote are so beautiful. And ugly. Just emotional. I’m not really listening to his voice, I’m listening to his words – and for his message his voice is oddly perfect.
I saw them on their come-back tour just a few weeks ago. Loved hearing both “Thirty-Three” and “Mayonnaise” live.
