The outcome would likely be fatal. I recall an acquaintance named Ron who, against all reason, kept several large monitor lizards, predominantly Nile monitors, as pets. Astonishingly, he allowed them to roam freely throughout his apartment, treating them as one would typically treat dogs or cats. He even shared his sleeping space with these creatures. I repeatedly warned Ron about the inherent dangers and told him how unsafe it was, but he believed he had formed a unique bond with these animals.
Regrettably, Ron’s story serves as a cautionary tale.
