One of the friendliest places I’ve traveled to that may not be widely known is the Faroe Islands. The Faroe Islands are a group of remote islands located in the North Atlantic Ocean, between Iceland and Norway. Despite their small size and relative obscurity as a travel destination, the Faroese people are incredibly warm, welcoming, and hospitable.

They were often willing to engage in conversations, offer recommendations, and even invite travelers into their homes for a taste of Faroese hospitality.
