The Antarctic blue whale, scientifically known as Balaenoptera musculus ssp. Intermedia, holds the title for being the largest animal on Earth. It can weigh an astounding 400,000 pounds, which is equivalent to approximately 33 elephants, and reach lengths of up to 98 feet.
