In sex-deprived country like India, the vulgar lyrics in the form of Bollywood Songs makes them famous in youngsters. Though people have mentioned many songs, I would like to write about-
Song Title: Aa Re Pritam Pyare
Lyricist: Sameer Anjaan, Faiz Anwar
Movie: Rowdy Rathore
Singer: Mamta Sharma
Lyrics of vulgar part (italicised) go like this:-
Aa re pritam pyare
Bandook mein naa toh goli mere
Aa re pritam pyare
Bandook mein naa toh goli mere
Sab aag toh mere kurti mein re
***but the fire is in my ‘kurti'(Top)***
Zara hukka utha zarrra chillam jala
Pallu ke neeche chupa ke rakha hai
Utha doon toh hungama ho….
***I have hidden it under my top
If lifted, it will create havoc***
Joban se apne pallu hata doon toh
Kaule kanwaro ka chehra khile
***If I remove the top ( cloth) from my youth
Lonely bachelors’ faces light up***
Evidently this is the most vulgar song in the new age Bollywood, and I don’t think I need to decode the lyrics more because I anticipate that you are mature enough to understand the underlying expression of this song.
There was a age when lyrics of song were compared to divinity of a poem but increasing vulgarity in song and the youth liking them is matter of grave concern as it’s the Bollywood who shape the Nation!
I hope I was able to answer your question. Please let me know in the comments what do you feel.
