It’s difficult to pinpoint an exact person or culture that invented the concept of wearing shoes, as humans have been protecting their feet with some form of footwear for thousands of years.
Archaeological evidence suggests that humans were wearing some form of rudimentary shoes as far back as 40,000 years ago, such as simple foot coverings made from animal hides or woven grasses. Over time, footwear designs became more sophisticated, with the development of materials such as leather, rubber, and synthetic fabrics.
