Arijit Singh is an Indian singer, musician, and music composer who primarily works in the Bollywood film industry. He was born on April 25, 1987, in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal, India.

Arijit started his career in the music industry in 2005 as a participant in the reality show Fame Gurukul, but he gained mainstream recognition with the song “Phir Mohabbat” from the movie “Murder 2” (2011). Since then, he has been one of the most sought-after playback singers in the Indian film industry.

Arijit has sung in numerous Bollywood movies and has worked with many renowned music composers like Pritam, Vishal-Shekhar, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, and many more. He has won several awards for his work, including the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer a record-breaking six times. Some of his most popular songs include “Tum Hi Ho” from “Aashiqui 2,” “Channa Mereya” from “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,” “Kabira” from “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani,” and “Kalank” from the movie of the same name.

Apart from singing, Arijit has also composed and written songs for Bollywood movies. He made his debut as a music composer with the movie “Pagglait” (2021), for which he composed and sung the song “Dil Udd Ja Re.”
