It seems that there is a tendency for people to overestimate the abilities of gorillas in various hypothetical scenarios, such as pitting them against lions or grizzly bears.

When comparing the size and weight of a grown polar bear to that of two silverbacks, it becomes evident that polar bears can indeed outweigh them significantly.

Polar bears hold the distinction of being the largest carnivorous mammals on our planet and are known to prey on even larger omnivorous animals like walruses.

Although a walrus possesses formidable tusks that could potentially harm a bear, polar bears still choose to hunt them. It is important to note that while gorillas are undeniably powerful creatures, they do not occupy the position of apex predators like polar bears. Bears possess the advantage of sharp claws and a predatory nature. On the other hand, gorillas are equipped with an incredibly strong bite, but it would not be enough to save them in a confrontation with a polar bear.

In the event of an interaction between a gorilla and a polar bear, it is likely that the primate would recognize the threat posed by the massive beast and opt to back off and retreat from the situation.
