First and foremost, it’s important to understand that an aggressive Chihuahua isn’t cute at all. In fact, it signifies that the dog has assumed dominance over you and is attempting to assert dominance over everything else as well. By allowing it to get away with any behavior due to its small size, you have inadvertently taught the Chihuahua that it can do as it pleases. Size is insignificant to Chihuahuas and other dogs, particularly Chihuahuas, who don’t care about their small stature and will attack anything they perceive as a threat to their dominance. It’s fortunate that they are tiny because otherwise, they would be classified alongside dangerous attack dogs.

On the contrary, if Chihuahuas were of normal size, they wouldn’t be treated as adorable little pets and their aggressive behavior would not be tolerated.

What you must do is set aside its size and the notion of treating it like a baby. Your Chihuahua is a DOG, not a toy, not a doll to be dressed up, and certainly not a baby.

It is crucial to establish clear leadership with your Chihuahua. Don’t tolerate misbehavior just because it looks cute. Take it for walks on a leash and avoid picking it up. Instead, encourage it to walk alongside you. When encountering other dogs, resist the urge to pick up your Chihuahua. Just as you wouldn’t pick up a Golden Retriever, refrain from doing so with your Chihuahua. Allow it to socialize with other dogs and if it displays aggression, firmly reprimand it and continue walking. Treat it like any other dog.

The aggression stems from the fact that it has become accustomed to being spoiled excessively. In normal circumstances, dogs only exhibit aggression in extreme situations. Barking and growling are not signs of aggression but rather postures, much like wagging a tail or making a forward bow.
