No, you cannot switch off tidal gravity. Tidal gravity is a secondary effect of gravity, caused by the difference in gravitational force between different parts of an object. This difference in force can cause the object to stretch or deform. For example, the tidal force of the Moon on Earth causes the Earth to bulge slightly on the side closest to the Moon and the side farthest from the Moon. This bulge is what causes the tides.
There is no way to “switch off” tidal gravity. However, you can reduce the effects of tidal gravity by increasing the distance between the two objects exerting the gravitational force. For example, the tidal force of the Moon on Earth is much weaker than the tidal force of the Sun on Earth. This is because the Sun is much farther away from Earth than the Moon is.
In theory, it is possible to create a device that could cancel out the tidal force of a nearby object.
