Rattlesnakes naturally shed their fangs approximately every few months. As one set falls out, another set is already prepared to replace them. In fact, they often have multiple sets ready to go. Consequently, removing the fangs of a snake is not only pointless but also quite cruel, as it interrupts their natural shedding process.

Here, I have collected some of the fangs that have shed from my captive rattlesnakes. However, there is a small challenge involved. About 9 1/2 times out of 10, when the snake envenomates its prey, the fang tends to get stuck in the prey and the snake ends up swallowing it. Now, can you guess where I have to search for those swallowed fangs? It’s a bit amusing, to say the least! LOL.
