“Somebody to Love”, for a few reasons. For one, the vocals, both Freddie’s lead vocal and the gospel-esque chorus of Freddie, Brian, and Roger; three voices that manage to sound like a full choir.

Secondly, the sheer honesty of the song. It’s desperate and pleading, and that somehow only makes it more beautiful. Love is something we all want, whether we admit it or not, and the lack of it can truly hurt. You can feel that hurt and that yearning in Freddie’s vocal; you believe what he’s singing 100%.

And ultimately, it’s just a beautiful song musically speaking. So ever since the first time I heard it as a small child, it’s been my favorite Queen song.
