The primary treatment for bipolar disorder is medication, but many patients are resistant to taking it, especially during periods of extreme positivity when they may not believe they are ill.
Additionally, handling bipolar patients like ordinary patients can be dangerous, as they may become more violent or threatening to those around them.
One approach that may work is to treat the patient with love and care, and to try to convince them to take just one tablet as an experiment. Patients can be easily fooled and tricked, but it takes patience to gain their trust and encourage them to take their medication.
