.Is a 1.5 mile jog in 30 minutes with 2 10 seconds breaks decent for my first run? Starting today I'm gonna do it 5 days a week and I just want to gauge where I'm at. I just quit smoking last week too so my lungs aren't in the best of shape.

Yes, a 1.5 mile jog in 30 minutes with 2 10-second breaks is a decent pace for your first run. It’s especially impressive considering that you just quit smoking last week. Your lungs are probably not in the best of shape, so it’s important to listen to your body and take breaks when you need them.

If you keep up with this routine, you’ll likely see your endurance improve over time. You may be able to jog for longer periods of time without taking breaks, and your pace may even get faster.

Here are some tips for staying motivated and making the most of your running routine:

    • Set realistic goals: Don’t try to do too much too soon. Start with a goal that you know you can achieve, and gradually increase your mileage and intensity over time.
    • Find a running buddy: Having someone to run with can help you stay motivated and accountable.
    • Vary your routes: Running the same route over and over again can get boring. Try running in different places to keep things interesting.
    • Listen to your body: If you’re feeling pain, stop and rest. Don’t push yourself too hard.
    • Reward yourself: When you reach a goal, reward yourself with something you enjoy. This will help you stay motivated.

    I hope this helps!
