The symptoms of a heart attack can differ among individuals and may not always be sudden or severe. However, some common symptoms of a heart attack include:
– Chest pain or discomfort: This is the most frequent symptom of a heart attack. The pain can be felt as pressure, tightness, fullness, or squeezing in the middle of the chest. It may last for several minutes or come and go.
– Upper body pain: Pain or discomfort may also occur in the arms, neck, jaw, shoulder, or back.
– Shortness of breath: Feeling like you can’t catch your breath, or being short of breath even when you’re not exerting yourself.
– Nausea, indigestion, or stomach pain: You may experience these symptoms with chest pain.
– Sweating: Even if you’re not exercising or in a warm environment, you may break out into a cold sweat.
– Dizziness or lightheadedness: Feeling faint or dizzy, or like you’re about to faint.
It’s important to keep in mind that not everyone experiences all of these symptoms, and some people may not have any symptoms at all. If you suspect that you or someone else is having a heart attack, seek medical attention immediately by calling emergency services or going to the nearest hospital.
