Let me think. If I were a heart, I’d crave loads of love and affection. However, since love is not a food group, let’s concentrate on the ones that can maintain heart health.
Firstly, we have fatty fish. I know what you’re thinking, “Fat isn’t good for the heart.” But not all fats are the same. Fatty fish are enriched with omega-3s that act like superheroes. They can decrease triglycerides, lower blood pressure and reduce inflammation. So, enjoy fish without any guilt.
Next, nuts are the way to go. Yes, I’m referring to the ones you can eat. Nuts have healthy fats, protein and fiber. They can lower cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease. Just remember not to go overboard and consume the whole pack in one go.
