Kabir Singh is the official remake of Telugu cult hit Arjun Reddy directed by the same person.
The reason why there is so much buzz around the movie is because:
Hindi audience are anxious about the movie since it is a remake of a hit film and telugu audience are anxious to see how the director improvised the film in it’s hindi version. Also, it would be interesting to know if Shahid Kapoor can match Vijay Devarakonda’s intensity and attitude.
