The condition is known as heterochromia, which can be linked to certain genetic disorders, but can also occur as a unique mutation. Typically, heterochromia affects only one eye, causing a mismatched eye color.

My daughter has central heterochromia, where her pupil is surrounded by yellow rays, and the rest of her iris is a mix of cornflower blue with white lines running through it. If you look closely at a photo of her eye, it resembles a sunflower against the sky. Interestingly, both her eyes have the same unique coloring.
